DOLMA KYAB - pseudonym Lobsang Kelsang Gyatso (Tibet), born in 1976, writer and teacher; in March 2005 arrested in Lhasa where he taught history at a school. Charged with “threat to national security“, he was sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment for having written a still unpublished (sic!) book on Tibetan history, religion and geography. Due to imprisonment, his health has deteriorated. On the 19th of July 2007, he was transferred to Seilong (Xining) working camp, situated about 400 km off Lhasa, where prisoners face "re-education through work".
