On 14th November German PEN honours the annual recipient of the Hermann Kesten Award. The celebration will take place at Kammerspiele of the Staatstheater Darmstadt.

The Hermann Kesten Award honours outstanding efforts in support of persecuted writers according to the principles of the Charter of International PEN. Among last years recipients were Russian journalist Anna Politkowskaja, murdered Turkish-armenian journalist Hrant Dink (honoured posthumous) and Belarusian journalist Irina Khalip.
